Also, it could be that your FireWire controller isn't compatible - it doesn't look like yours is the required TI chipset. Getting a compatible card with a TI chipset will likely fix the problem.

You may also want to do all of the configuration and optimization steps in the General Troubleshooting thread, as something there may help as well - even without a different FW card...
