FWIW, I had them next to each for a recent mix, and it didn't feel like it made sense to try to align them. Ergonomically, it was better to leave the Mix on the left at a slight angle. There are engineering docs for both on Avid's site. Unlike the S3, the Mix won't latch next to a Dock.
