What would be my most expedient and efficient way of getting this all organised so that I can forge forwards ?

1. DO NOT work on the original files. Make your own copy so you can show the state things were in when you got it, and so you can go back to this as needed.
2. Work: sift through each session to clean it up, label, name, etc. Then maybe do a Save Copy In, one for each song, to consolidate what you need.
3. Do not try to merge sessions/songs to mix them "together". One song per session ALWAYS!!

that's it. There's a reason they call it work.
