One other thing to be careful of, is floppy authorizers. The beige G3’s had built in floppy disk that worked fine for this, but the G4’s require a special external USB floppy. iirc, there were only 3 models that worked, they needed the right extension as well... the first floppy authorized plugin I ever owned was soft samplecell, and I ruined the floppy authorizer using the wrong usb floppy drive. Fortunately, digidesign replaced it with an ilok license, but not all os9 plugins made it to ilok (lexiverb is one of my favorite os9 plugs, it never had an ilok version)... and I doubt any manufacturer will help you with converting floppy auths to ilok at this point.
