I've never had an issue with softube plugins(paid or free) so the only thing I can imagine is that you did not install the AAX version. I would do the following:
1-check your iLok to see if the license is actually on it and not sitting in your iLok account(it needs to be on the iLok)
2-go to the softube site and download it again(fresh, in case there was something wrong with the first download)
3-run the install and watch out for checkboxes that you may have missed to make sure you install the AAX64 version, because AAX32 might be an option, but that doesn't work in newer PT(AAX32 was for PT10)
