PT12 isn't even El Capitan ready, and PT11 was designed with Yosemite in mind, so be careful playing with fire. I'd suggest jumping up one from where you are -- into Yosemite -- but not up two.

Actually, in retrospect, I think Mavericks might have been more stable with PT11 than Yosemite is. Some days I regret upgrading.
