To all those worried about the upgrade from Pro Tools 9 academic to Pro Tools 10 academic.. stress not.

There is a difference between an Update and an Upgrade.

Updates are corrections to a specific version of pro tools and have always been free, hence, "4 years of free updates" would be an invalid and deliberately misleading statement to make

Upgrades however are migrations from one version to another and generally cost money.

You have been offered, in writing, "4 years of free UPGRADES"
