MIDI tracks don't make any sound, either at recording or playback. After creating a MIDI track, you have to route its output to the Fast Track Pro, then run a MIDI cable from the FTP MIDI out to the keyboard's MIDI in. Create a new audio track, then run an analog cable from your keyboard to the appropriate input on the front of the FTP. The MIDI track will then "play" the keyboard, and you can record it onto the audio track. (I hope I got that all right. It's hard for me to tell someone how to do that without having the program open in front of me and going thru it.) When I'm doing a MIDI track, I turn the volume up on my keyboard so I can listen to it thru the speakers it has. If yours doesn't have speakers, try running the analog cable to the FTP input at the same time you're recording the MIDI track. Turn your "Mix" knob (directly above the output level knob) counterclockwise to mix your output sound with the input patch of the keyboard.
