The way you worded your question was confusing. Once again I ask - are you connecting the Motif to the computer while power is on and PT is running or what? Hot-plugging anything isn't the best thing to do.
Don't understand what you mean by the MIDI stops. Do you mean the PT transport stops running? Please explain.
