Agreed. The bottom line is that going into this situation we all know that we would have to take our iloks with us. This was/is made very clear by the way that it works. It's not like they sold us on the idea of not needing it, and then it turns out we do...
Likewise a guitarist knows that when he travels for a gig, he will need to bring his guitar. If said guitarist forgets his guitar, and blames his guitar for being forgotten, he losses his gig.
Videographer shows up to gig without camera, blames camera.
Sounds like a headline from the onion.
I don't mean to be harsh to the OP, but this is one of those times where accepting responsibility might actually help avoid doing this again. Make a checklist, put your wallet under your ilok, etc.
