I would have that same issue on PTHD 8.1.1 OS X 10.6.8 if my I/O from the two sessions didn't have the same EXACT names. You can also disable the inputs, outputs and busses from being imported. Also you could import the I/O settings from one session to the next and then the I/O names would be exactly the same.
