I think you can install the full version 'on top' of your current version. It would only add features and not likely remove any plugs. As I posted in another thread today, if you're coming from 7.x, you defiintely want the full install to get all the plugs/VI's included with 9. But I think all those plugs came with 8.X so YOU would already have them. I ended up installing the 9 update first, then installing the full version on top(after i didnt see the plugs i was supposed to get with 9). PS - It didn't remove any of my Waves stuff.
