Is AppleMusic not enforcing attenuation?
I’m always having to master songs at 8.0 LUFS or lower just compete with commercial releases in AppleMusic and other streaming platforms for my clients. It doesn’t sound like any of them are attenuating down to 12-14 LUFS like they claim. I mastered one project exactly to AppleMusic specs and the volume was as low or lower than some of the old albums from the 90’s. What gives?
