With respect to the power supply; sufficient is not always the issue. As long a s nothing breaks you can get away with a quality 500w supply. I have seen systems fall when a sudden unexpected draw on a supply has taken it down, and subsequently taken drives boards and RAM with it. The so-called protection isn’t always as fast as the avalanche. If you can help it, don’t economize here.
