I have been using PT 8 on XP and I dual boot into it and for me, man it does everything I need and it has just been rock solid since 2009. I can record all day with no issues at all.
I think having a Mac would be very cool too but man, the price... and the upgrade price to PT 11 is just crazy! I'll use this until it dies.
