Default Re: Who is using Serato Scratch?

Hi!
I've used serato scratch with an m-box on a 12 inch powerbook and it ran fine. I took it along to a club i was djing at and it was cool, i got some people who were there to say some stuff in a mic, recorded it straight into the plugin and then scratched those sample using the records. A couple of things i found out were: When using the serato record, you must have both the left & right outs from the turntable connected or it won't work. Also, you must make sure both inputs have equal gain, or it won't go properly.
The annoying thing about using it with m-box, is there aint enough in's and outs on m-box. I was thinking i could have a mic plugged in input 1 and then the scratch record to input 2, but you cant because, u gotta have both inputs connected. So that means for scratch heads out there who need to go back through dj mixer to get your cuts going, you need an interface with more than 2 inputs if you wanna record your scratches back in to pro tools.
Also, for m-box users, make sure you have line input selected on the front (not mic).
002 rack would be ideal for a dj, you could run the whole show with that many ins and outs.

Peace!
