Thanks for clarifying, I might be reading the documentation wrong in the 19.5 manual.
"These settings apply to all Select methods (tapping to select tracks in the Tracks matrix, pressing a channel Select switch, or selecting a DAW track on-screen)."
Or perhaps that just needs to be updated then and is old behavior. Regardless even with Attention mode on in tracks and Always turned on and "
Auto-Bank to Attention Track" it only puts the selected track on the focus fader and does not bank anything.
Do you know of any videos showing these three settings?
