Assuming that more people have this problem, here my findings:
Have a MBP i7, 003, MBox 2 and Micro, PT LE 8.03cs2, and OSX 10.6.3 (yes I know, officially not supported...) BT off.
003 works great, no problems. With both MBoxes PT crashes during or right after startup, when I try to open a song..
Weird thing is that on my machine this happens when I use the USB port closest to the power supply/fw connectors, if I use the other one (next to the SD card) it all works fine, also when I attach a USB hub with two iLoks the other USB port...
PT boots, opens, plays, quits and starts again.
With both USB ports I never have system crashes, I can even have PT crash on the rear USB port, switch the Mbox to the frotn port, and PT will open and work fine.
Maybe this is of any help to anyone...
As one of you said, there is not one solution that works for everyone...
