protools nine upgrades
I am baffled over how to figure out whether or not I need to get upgrades for my protools 9…and if so, how to get them, how to pay for them, if necessary…the website is way too complicated for me…they really need a user friendly place…I know the entire company is run by computer heads…but some easier method would be nice…
so…
I have an iMac running OSX 10.8.5
I have protools 9…version 9.0.6
everything works fine and I'm tickled pink with what I can do with one notable exception…I cannot open any midi files in score editor…I get a an error message that the fonts aren't installed….
It has been a very frustrating journey to discover a solution to this problem…and as I read more and more software/hardware stories concerning mac and later operating systems and connections between interfaces and computers…it scares the hell out of me…
I THINK I need to download upgraded drivers to be able to access the score writer…but no way to establish that as fact before I try…and no idea how to access the downloads…
any help would be appreciated...
