Default Re: Slate Trigger 2 (AAX 64 / 32 & RTAS)

that update didn't address anything in my sitch, but i have an 2pm appt with the slate people; we'll see if that move the chains at all.

mead brings up a valid point, tho;
meaning, he can never surrender his 10 license in a future upgrade without opening and converting any "vintage" trax.
(same for antares, echo farm, et al.)

in my post, i was thankful that they came up with a way to keep compato thru pt10 while improving the engine.
i still keep a copy of 1.62 on my desktop since 1.66 broke legacy seshs.

pt11, i already knew i couldn't use at the studio cuz of the procontrol issue,
so i figured i would install it at the home studio just for yucks.
but, realizing i would have to give up my pthd9 license, i can't even do that, as pthd 10 standalone doesn't handshake to pthd10 hd6;
because it doesn't port native plugs back to dsp.

yrs down the road, it will be interesting to see who will keep legacy rigs around for the purpose of opening this generations music.
i'm one of the few in socal still doing 2" xfers, as cups n strings is closing up shop.
(don't have to worry about updating drivers for my studer!)

greg ginn once told me that mike watt had kept all the sst records masters ( black flag, bad brains, etc) in his van,
cuz, hey, the vinyls out, what do we care...
oh, cd's, surround...
no one thought ahead.
