Thanks for the info. It looks like you have been very patient in order to get it to work.

However, this is bad news in the sense that I was expecting that Focusrite would have used the jump from 1st to 2nd edition to eliminate these problems that plagued the 1st edition Scarlett range. Last year I bought an 18i20 1st edition, but had to return it, because of these issues.

I have now pre-ordered an 18i8 2nd edition in hope that it will perform out of the box. Fingers crossed.
