Your question isn't making much sense.

Your USB keyboard handles midi only, not audio. I'm not sure what you mean by making it the "hardware".

For audio/headphones, etc., you have 2 choices, either the Tascam, or if that is unplugged, your only choice left is the Mac's built in input/output.

You would select either the built in, or the Tascam, in Protools under Setup>Playback engine.

This is completely separate from what you do with your midi controller.

By the way, with midi controllers on a Mac, you generally don't need to install drivers. It should automatically be recognized. But if it isn't, you just go under Applications>Utilities>Audio Midi Setup and hit "rescan devices".
