If they work, and are useful to you, there's no reason not to keep them. I think a lot of people get caught up in the "must have the latest and greatest" mentality, and while I have been known to tell people "obsolescence happens", that doesn't mean that you can't keep using this older gear if you can get around it's limitations. PTIII was the flagship Pro Tools rig of it's time and it's still capable of creating a great recording.
