Itīs quite obvious, that a pre-release is "something" that is not identical to a release version!
1. Repair rights with disk utility
2. Un-install (choose "clean un-install")
3. Re-boot
4. Install Final Release
No need to wipe your HD and reinstall OS.
The pre-release has been presented for those folks, who bought a new Mac, that has been shipped with 10.5.2, to get them working again, after they updated their OS.
