Default Re: What now , after all these years ...???

HI,

how about getting an OS9 from ebay and run ProTools 5.x on it?
might be the cheapest way.
You know you can install OS9 along with OS X and acutally BOOT into OS9 (no CLASSIC).

This might get much more out of your G3 700MHz iMac in OS9 than with OS X.

And it hasnīt been mentioned yet than yu might need a dedicated harddisk for audio.
If you go external FirerWire make sure it has the Oxford 911 bridgechip chipset in it.
But I canīt remember if FireWire disks was supported with PT under OS9.

If you stay with OS X make you you have at least 1 GB of RAM our you PT6.9 will get yu nowhere.

my 2 cents
