I see this all the time. You must install the wavedriver 1.6 first then restart, then install Pro Tools ver 5.0.1 Win98SE. Follow that link for the PDF if you dont have the quickstart quide (chapter 3) for MAC and Windows. Also the document you need for installation of the wavedriver is on the Pro Tools ver.5.0.1 CD in the wave driver folder
(Print and have ready) First de-install Pro Tools and Digisystem files remove the device in the system control panel under sound video and game controllers. Restart. Check under devices ( system control panel ) then click computer/properties and view the devices resoures( IRQ's) verify the 001 is not sharing with other devices( should be on the same IRQ with holder for PCI steering. If sharing, then move the card to another slot( may be bios congfigured)
