Could you tell which settings you are using on HDX based sys?
Type of the session (I'm having issues especially on sessions with lots of audio files, more than when using VI), SR/bit depth, buffer setting,
I need to investigate why this issue happens only when using the HDX and the 2018 family, on Yosemite with PT11 the HDX works very well
