This also happened to me. Once when I opened up WLC to check things I saw in the upper part of the gui that updates were available but didn't get them. A few days later when I again opened WLC it didn't show that there were updates. I didn't get notification of updates until I purchased another Waves plugin and then WLC showed there were updates for other plugins I had.
