They could well be sonically related coming from the same designer. However, Phoenix has many more sonic options than Heat which as I remember just has two knobs?
The GUI is a bit old, even in Phoenix II form but who cares? No one is looking at the GUI save us, they are just listening to the magic
To be honest there's a lot of good tape/saturation emulations out there these days and it is early to tell if I have done the right thing purchasing this stalwart. That said, I'm finding it very versatile and controllable without overloading on the controls, if you know what I mean?!

Thanks. I tried a demo of it years ago and liked it. I liked Peacock as well. I just don't know if it would be worth it now that I have HEAT and the Abby Road bundle.
HEAT is simple to use but man, good sound is good sound and it has it in spades.
