Default Re: Pro Tools 10 CPU Overload

I set the processors from 4 to 1 after one of the first replies you gave me.

I kind of figured the software i am running, NI Komplete Ultimate, Maschine, Pro Tools 10, etc... was alot for my PC. This is my first real dive into computer recording and all that comes with it. I appreciate all you suggestions and will get around to trying them.

The last thing you said about my i5 laptop is kind of what I figured in the first place, although I'm sure some adjustments can be made to make what I already have run better.

In your opinion, or in reality, instead of banging my head against the wall trying to solve all these problems and fixes with my i5 laptop, should I just upgrade to a more efficient powerful desktop? I still plan on doing all the stuff you mentioned but in the bigger picture of it what do you think?

I downloaded the Pro Tools 10.3 update. It took all night and now I am trying to unzip it and get it running.

Anyway, I really do appreciate all of your assistance. Thanks.
