There is a 3rd party app that allows you to mount and read the drive, but you can’t write to it. Their may be other ones now that do. I can’t say with certainty.
If it was me, I’d be sticking with HFS+.

Oh no I am keeping it for myself I never detach the drive from my Mac ... I use it as an external drive only for convenience and external backups
