Default The not so obvious good things in PT8

I have to preface this by saying that around about March I will read the Ref.Guide.

One little tip that I haven't seen mentioned, is the little red button in the plug-in screens. It defaults to ON (red) and behaves like all plugins did. Turn it OFF and then select another plugin and the OFF one will remain on screen along with the new one. This is a bit like the old shift click method but this is more elegant.
Great for comparing two plugins' settings.

For approved controller users (003 002 etc) the control mapping is another untouted feature that I think is brilliant.
To control for example the Xpand2 there are pages of controls and to page through them all can be a waste of time. Enter control maps.
I have set one map as "A edit map" which just has the 6 A-edit controls, the A-level and A-pan - set as the default this covers most of the major tweaks in the A instrument. I setup similar maps for B,C and D.

I hope this helps some people and I am NOT trying to teach the art of sucking eggs
