It seems like you have to carefully choose the shortcut.
Example: Using the shortcut ⌃⌥⌘+Y does not work, it triggers the script 3 times.
⌃+Y works fine though. Play with the shortcuts or stick...

BTW, the wait is just a safety measure, because if the Audio Suite window doesn’t open fast enough, which can happen from time to time, the Render click will be performed regardless...

Well, it was years ago when I shared my first packages and tried KM with them. They wouldn't be triggered correctly causing all kinds of weird issues.

What happens if you run the AppleScript from within an AppleScript Editor (Script Debugger or Script Editor)?

I don't wanna put the blame on Keyboard Maestro but I gave up using it in combination...
