Ok thanks, will try these things. So 16GB is better than the NORMAL setting? I never really understood what NORMAL meant as a setting but that is the default so I left it that way.

Disk playback cache I just have set to NORMAL. Should I set to a specific number? It is audiobooks but these sometimes turn into elaborate mixes with lots of music and effects, 30 tracks is not...

I work on very long audiobook mixes, up to 20+ hrs in a session. I sometimes group the long voice edits [with many thousands of edits] just to make it less unwieldy to move long sections of things...

Clip Auto Fade?

Does the new Pro Tools 'Studio' include the auto crossfade [Clip Auto Fade] feature that used to only be found in PT Ultimate [now Flex]? The setting available in the Prefs under Operation. Thanks.
