I am interested but we're in the middle of writing new songs and were not in tracking mode. Maybe we can throw something together, if we take too long and I miss the boat, that's cool...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Roy,
Wow, that piece just oozes with feel. What are you using for drums? The compression on them gives them a nice pop. The big guitar intro is cool too. That's the best material I've heard from you...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

I'm glad you like it. Did you find it to be cpu intensive? I am sure your computer is faster than mine, I have a 900mhz pent with 512mb of sdram. Some of the new apps (BFD, for ex.) require at least...

Thanks for listening (res and deception)...what do you mean by "cold" though? Lyrically, musically or production-wise?

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Wow, you definately remind me of Jeff. Great voice.

As I was listening I felt the vocals and guitars could use a bigger verb, I don't know, kind of like "american dreaming" by dead can dance....

Re: Instrumental Song

Sounds cool IMHO. I know you wrote that it was a "rough mix" but personally I like the raw aspect of the track. I didn't think the drums were too loud but then again I am at work listening on...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Thanks for taking the time to listen, BP.
As far as your stuff goes, your voice reminds me of a certain 80s pop vocalist, can't quite put my finger on it. I agree with Aussie169's response, you...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

This is cool. I've never heard of this band but based on your rendition I'd like to check them out. I like the big verb and the vocals.

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Thanks man, that means alot. This song is a piece in a big puzzle, so-to-speak. It's part of a handful of songs that I have been writing to eventually rerecord for my cd.

It's so funny you should...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

It used to be available for download at www.smartelectronix.com (http://www.smartelectronix.com) but there seems to be a problem, probably temporary. If I get any additional info. I'll shoot it to...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

I think it was Waves Rverb (I'm at work). Also, I remember on a few instruments I used the "stereoette" setting on Mondo Mod which gives a nice ambience.

btw-if you can use vsts via the wrapper...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

...actually, now that I think about it, I may have also ran the Taylor direct.

Also, on one of the drum loops, I used the block fish compressor (digital fish phones) via the fxpansion vst to rtas...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Autotune...ha, yes...but only on a few pieces. Actually, I had never used it and I downloaded the demo because I liked the vocal take and the sound, just couldn't live with a few parts. That's...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

This is cool, Jon, don't beat yourself up. It reminds me of Cracker, remember them (listen to one of their ballads).
You have to look at the bigger picture, we do this to make music. Because this...
