I have the same problem with no sound on start up (intermittent). I have to toggle sample rates and power cycle to get it to work. My serial number ends with 21G. I'm also in australia...

I agree - the P5B and P5B Deluxe do look like the winners at this stage. Here's a thought for you though. The recommended MoBo for AMD is an A8N-E which uses an Nvidia Nforce 4 Ultra chipset....
