Did you tell the 002R to use an external clock? Otherwise it doesn't sync the clocks and you will hear static since they won't be digitally locked.

There is a phase reverse button on any of the digirack EQ plug-ins (at least there was on the PC, so I assume there is on the mac too). Just insert an EQ and press the phase button - voila!
