PT 6.4 update is a download.....you can install it from there but you will need your authoriztion code in your 6.0 manual. Once downloaded the midi driver file is an option to install.

Sounds like you dont have the digi midi plugin in your midi driver folder.

Look in drive/library/audio/mididrivers and see if you see DigiDioMidiDriver.plugin

You may have to reinstall the...

Have you tried to manually add your device in the audio midi setup? Your keyboard is listed as a choice. You should also see the digi 001. Drag the in from digi arrow down to the keyboard out and...

I have been using single bank files for my XP-80. Never got around to making one file work.....

I just load a bank in (128) I want....PRA whatever and then manually switch my keyboard....shift...

Add a new device and name it accordingly. Set midi channels send and receive. Set correct device id number. Search the internet for either a midnam file for your Yamaha or a OMS list of patch names....

Sorry, misunderstood. So you are trying to add the Triton to the default middev file? If I am correct you should not have to modify the default file at all. Just add a new device, name it...

Ok, so what you really want to do is record the sound AND the midi information. Then yes, you will need a midi interface. I use the midi sport 2x2. Midi out from keyboard to midi in on midisport....

Welcome to Pro Tools.

Mbox does not have any midi connectors for input or ouput so you cannot record midi (which is DATA only).The Mbox does have 2 inputs for audio. Run cables from your audio...

Looks like you should be ok...if you have 6.1.2

Digi 001 MIDI Port Not Supported with Digidesign Core Audio Driver.

This problem has been fixed with the Core Audio Driver v6.1.2

Good point....as I seem to recall early versions of PT 6 or core audio actually moved the midi driver out of the midi driver folder to unused Digidesign folder upon installation . You had to go in...
