So a protools tdm/hd system has Full Plug In delay Copensation for third party RTAS plugins who run on external CPU's ?
no hassle with a plugin for delay compensation fixes...

because i like sound i switched to logic, there is nothing more irritating than adding PDC plugins etc...

If you use logic with tdm you're just using logic as a remote controller + the extra midi's.
Makes sense as 48-bit fixed is better than 32bit floating internal audio path.

nope
digidesign software works only with digidesign hardware (or m-audio...)

so if your tascam has adat... go out of the tascam into the digi002 thru the adat interface.

also use the same hardware you're using now... if you only have a digi002 use it as your sound input and ouput.
So you're working with the same external tools.

you should check out if you hardware from the 2000 era is even supported !
the digi001 works up until 6.4 ...... meaning it will only work up to panther !
it can all be read at the digidesign...

i've never used the 002 preamps or the converters !
i did use them once for a test shoot out.

i mostly went into them using a digital mixing console or last year with apogee converters.

I would go for the mini-me.
I don't know what converters you use, but if you use the digi002 , get the mini-me and start saving for another preamp later down the line.
