You can actually have both, but not every time.

For example last transition from PPC to Intel, the Universal Binaries release of 7.3 introduced sudden GUI bugs which were only apparent on PPC side...

I have no agenda.

It just seems Avid has too many customers with problems, comparing to bugs fixed. The priority of bug fixes naturally going top paying customers first, I guess nobody argues that.

Obviously only talking about CPU usage of Avid products. There are some plugins, for example Korg Triton which are using +100% (!) cpu but it is not Avid's fault.

CPU problems were addressed in 2019.5 and they have not come back ever since. Catalina is very much supported, except the few features that have not yet made their way back. If you need the features,...

There has always been good and bad releases, but still some versions are better than others.

I can fondly remember combinations of OSX 10.3.4 & PT 6.4.1 and OSX 10.6.8 & 8.1.1 but the good...

Just sayin' if they ever release open beta it will not have any new features, only testing compatibility to a new system like ARM transition that is coming soon.

New features need NDA for everyone...

Please don't put words into my mounth. Being one of the past beta team members (PT7-10) I know how scarce the resources are. And the quality of feedback is very important.

What you are requesting is free PT for all who can afford to use pre-release software. Not going to happen. Maybe in a perfect world Avid releases one time-limited PT beta when first Apple Silicon...
