8.0.4cs2 loaded up under XP yields the following results with the MBox 2 Mini using a hardware loopback (cable patched from output 1 to input 1 and recorded):


at 64 the recorded audio is 4...

Yes you do, if you use the 8.0.4 beta drivers that have been reposted.

That's how people are reverting back to 8.0.3. THat's the ONLY way to revert to 8.0.3 on W7.

No. You need to have Waves version 7.

Version 5 isn't even compatible with Pro Tools 7.


You will probably need to upgrade ALL of those older plugins to be able to use them with the new...

Well, technically, yes.

My tests on the mac yielded audio that was a single sample early.

You do know that Pro Tools LE is available, and runs (IMHO) better than the windows version on the Mac, right? :confused:

No, I don't. I've got the 002R and the MBox 2 Mini. Both of them do it under both Windows 7 and XP. Neither of them do it under OSX.

How to duplicate this test:

For all interfaces (003/003R, 002/002R, Mboxen, Eleven, etc):
create a session with 1 click track, and 2 mono audio tracks
bus the output of the click to the first...

I've been using my mac for recording. The mac version of 8.0.4 doesn't have this problem, but that only works for people with a mac. :(

For the record, with a few small differences, I can replicate this problem on my Windows rig with 8.0.4, with both XP and Windows 7 64.

It does NOT happen under OSX. ;)
