Turning off Network connections and leaving them off worked.

However, I just uninstalled and re-installed the 2020.3 driver and it's working now.

Just updated to Pro Tools 12.3.1, using Mac OS 10.8.5

Mid 2010 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Mac Pro

Everything works fine. So far.

Update was painless.

I got multiple HDs in the Mac, with different operating systems, so if an upgrade goes bad I'm all set. Also, each HD is backed up.

Thinking of upgrading to PT 11. I've got an HDX card running in a Mac5,1 2.8GHz QuadCore 2010 MacPro. Avid says it hasn't tested this set up on their system requirements page. Has anyone got this...

Avid is closed for Thanksgiving and Friday, probably won't be open until Monday, so I'll have to wait until then for them to fix the problem.

I'm having download problems with PT10 too. I tried downloading a 2nd file with the download manager instead of waiting for the first file to finish downloading. The first file stopped. the 2nd file...

Several attempts at installing Pro Tools with DVD that came with purchase of new mBox Mini resulted in failure to install the entire DVD with the DVD hanging at finishing for more than 30 minutes....

Windows XP gets an update but not PPC owners! I'm rethinking sticking with Pro Tools. Seriously. This is not a strategy for keeping customers.
