Progress ... but 96io Firmware Missing

I’ve made considerable progress in the last 30 minutes.

I did a clean uninstall of PT, rebuilt disk permissions, and reinstalled PT 10 HD.

Everything works nicely ... except the one 96io.

Under Hardware Setup / Peripherals ... only Pro Tools Aggregate I/O is displayed in the window.

Clicking on Launch Setup App shows HD Native in the listing with 0 in / 0 out under HD Native.

After running along nicely for the past year, my I/O configuration has somehow gotten itself into a mess.

Under SETUP / HARDWARE ... the Peripherals window is showing Pro Tools Aggregate I/O.

Try moving the native card to PCIe slot #3 or #4.

I had the same occurrance when I transitioned to native and moving the card from slot #2 to slot #3 made it work just fine.

I've been pleased with Izotope's Ozone.

Their latest release, Ozone 5, has many refinements over previous versions but is CPU hungry.

I have Ozone 3, 4, & 5 and the CPU usage...

Just bring down the Master Fader in ProTools to keep Ozone out of the red for the selected preset.

Should you tweak the Ozone preset, you may need to make an additional adjustment(s) to the Master...

I installed the Native card on 1/1/12 and did the firmware update that day.

Think it's safe to assume that I won't need to run the Native card firmware updater again in order to move to 10.0.1 ?

I did a similar upgrade several weeks ago and the plug-ins folder is in the same location, complete with Digi (and non-Digi) plug-ins, both old and new.

Slot 2 did not work for the firmware update on the native card.

When I moved the card to slot 3, shazam, the firmware update proceeded nicely.
