so it's coaxial digital but not spdif? given that it's a dvd player, i guess it makes sense for it to be an ac3 stream... thanks for the help.

Thanks O.G. Someone in another forum actually suggested going to preferences and unlatching the solo buttons. Seems to work ok too. Thanks again for the help.

Yeah, it does seem like all the simple quick ways involve control surfaces. But I'm going to try a couple of the workarounds suggested. Thanks guys.

Thanks Brandon. I did try that but it still seems to require that I unclick the solo button on track one before clicking the solo on track two. I've set the prefs to latch solos. Does yours do this...

A/B two tracks or two playlists. i.e. I'm trying to compare two sounds within the exact same time frame. Does that make sense?
