Although, I suppose, perhaps you have a set in the live room for band listening, RainbowStudio used to have a very nice pair of B&Ws for this.

Or if DVS could follow the sample rate of the MTRX, as then you could leave CoreAudio to SRC. Expensive alternative is the Dante card for the MTRX which I believe includes a SRC.

There's no reason the preamp control protocol between Pro Tools and the Carbon has to be MIDI, though.

I doubt it’s going to make a difference sonically with modern interfaces but certainly improves things workflow wise, particularly with the MTRX not supporting Loop Sync.

Looks good! Surprised there’s no support for PTP for AES67, Dante, SMPTE 2110, AVB etc but perhaps the mainstream market isn’t quite there yet.

AVB is free to implement. macOS comes with a standards compliant implementation that supports some Ethernet NICs. Windows does not.

OK, I tried a single Kontakt piano patch, at 44.1kHz, 64 samples, HDX2 on a 16 core MacPro7,1. Works fine. :) But, with bigger sessions (at 96k) I usually have to run at 1024 to make things work...

Correct. They can look visually a bit different (from memory some have the Avid logo, others don't). But they're the same inside.
