Re: 2024.3 & Apollo X (UAD Version 11.1) - automatic HW insert latency compensation?

(Ignoring Pro Tools HD and DigiLink I/O in this discussion.)

IIRC ever since Pro Tools 9 (standard aka LE) added ADC support you get, or are at least are supposed to get, latency compensation of...

Re: Mbox Studio Playback WAV

Right, yes sorry you gave easily enough info to know it's not the playback software. And so still this makes no sense.

I'm not saying it's not happening but I cannot make sense of any way this...

Re: Mbox Studio Playback WAV

This is not making a lot of sense. There is unlikely to be some weird compatibility issue here. The MBox Studio is a ASIO device. It's the same device Pro Tools uses as any other app you are using to...

Re: Pro Tools Perpetual won’t start after 24.3.1 update!

Where is your Sandra report?

Based on the log file, and just guessing what is going on. It's missing a log entry for another call to Sys_Init::Init() and instead complains about no Direct2D and...

Re: Pro tools studio I/O limits

Oh thank you. Sorry I missed that. Sigh I so want a MTRX Studio… with MADI ;-)

Re: Pro tools studio I/O limits

If you have ongoing problems with payment refunds post the case number here and I expect one of the Avid folks on DUC will be able to help look at what is going on.

Re: Pro tools studio I/O limits

You still have this a little backwards.

Pro Tools (of all versions) applies latency correction on all inputs, and applies latency correction on hardware inserts when ADC is enabled. So how does it...

Re: Pro Tools Perpetual won’t start after 24.3.1 update!

The usual thing with asserts is to google the file name the assert is in and find out what solved other users problems or at least find out about others seeing the same assert. Here googling...

Re: Pro Tools Studio suddenly won't start up

Please follow the forum rules and don't post duplicates posts for the same problem, and please don't spam other folks threads for unrelated problems.

Re: EZdrummer 3 Latency in Pro Tools 2024.3.1

There is no 2024.4.1, I suspect Tope just made a typo. I don't know how many times I have mistyped release dates here.

Re: M-Audio Midi Driver Removal / PT 2024

Define "won't work". What exact features of your keyboard are you using?

If you are just using the keyboard to send MIDI notes, sustain etc. to a VI then yes it will work as before. Everything in...

Re: MTRX Studio Monitoring via Dante

No. You would not normally use DVS, that is a (not great) connection between your Mac and the interface, you already have that connection with HD Native assuming you have enough I/O there. And if...

Re: Pro Tools Studio suddenly won't start up

Pro Tools log files should all be text.

All the files: ProTools_*.txt

Don't follow what you mean. ASCII *is* text. The main section of the log file should have timestamps on each row. Like.....

Re: Pro Tools Studio suddenly won't start up

OK so you have deleted prefs and databases, right? But what about all the other things.

Moving all the .aaxplugins out of the plugin folder.
Creating a new admin account and testing from there...

What changed on this system? Any Window or app or plugin updates?

Trasher is great, but for now if it's not working just follow the Delete Preferences and Databases sections linked under...

Re: AAE -9013 Memory Low error when mounting or ejecting drives

It was a good idea to test with an empty session. But maybe it's failing because of content not plugins, or maybe your session is corrupt. You could try running the session that does fail with...

Re: Use External DAC for monitoring with Carbon?

You have the DAC-1 TOSLINK In connected to what exact port on the Carbon? (it's so easy to goof that up, so check). Using the same TOSLINK cable you used with the CD-Player? If you unplug the TOSLINK...

Re: Mbox Studio Playback WAV

Can you describe the problem you are hearing? Do both the left and right channels sound bad? Does the signal pan as expected from the media player? You can hear a good stereo image? You don't have a...

Re: pro tools: the window scrolling option is causes continuous stuttering

Hi, yes I did notice that, I would not assume it's a problem but it is one reason why I was asking about the Activity Monitor stats including memory. I would suspect memory here is unlikely to be an...

Hans

Thanks for the extra info. Avid support should be able to help you out here, but they'll also likely want to know what optimizations and standard troubleshooting (see under "Help Us Help You"...

Re: AAE -9013 Memory Low error when mounting or ejecting drives

Mmm interesting. Never seen that behavior and I sure have connect USB thumb drives to sessions where the transport is stopped.

What type of drives are they and what is on these drives? Are they...

Re: Pro tools studio I/O limits

Loopback maps inputs, so you can route those out from the normal interface device into a Loopback device but then you need outputs, so you would aggregate that Loopback device back with the device...

Re: Bus output without aux destination = delay compensation?

If you have an Audio track input connected to this bus and print to the audio track it has to have an output and be record armed, the moment you do that ADC recalculates the real correction here. If...
