You can always freeze Pro Tools and your current OS and install a second bootable OS to keep moving forward with your other software if needed, that’s provided the current version of PT is working...

Same here my friend! :-) Sold all my Avid gear a few years ago and things have been so much more stable using the Universal Audio stuff. Loving those two together.

These are all valid points and I concur! I have the latest Ultimate and Vanilla versions and my renewal ends in December and I will NOT be renewing either versions. I will be using Studio One 5 Pro...

Yeah but I don’t think that means indefinitely. Can you hold on to the reinstatement for years later and then activate it and then still have a year of updates and support going forward?
