Re: EUREKA! Dell M1710 magic bullet

Having recently picked up an XPS 1710, I am curious to hear if you have found any workarounds for your issues. I was hoping to set up a PTLE system on mine.

Thanks, Tom.

That is the exact setup I went with, too. The parts should come in on Tuesday, and I will also post results once I have a chance to play around with it.

Re: Best Desktops for PTLE

Great to know, thanks! With that in mind, I am also very strongly considering the Asus A8V Deluxe, with its faster FSB and greater memory bandwidth. Is there any downside to the A8V Deluxe versus...

Re: sansamp bass di

The SansAmp BDDI is a great unit that has helped out many a bass player/engineer. However, it's not your only option. A good preamp will go a long way, and believe it or not, some don't even cost...

I know that the prices are currently a bit high, but assuming that it becomes more cost effective, would there be any problem running one of the 266 FSB Athlon MP processors in my board? Something...

Re: Fastest Proc in GA-7DXR+

Is there something special about the 1700, or can I just overclock my 2000? I have toyed around with EasyTune to "overclock" it, and everything has been fine, but it sounds like you may be talking...

Depending upon which era Tobias his bass player has, I don't think that any of the instruments listed would qualify as trashy, but it is a good point to consider the quality of the signal source as...

Re: Best tube preamp for $400-$600

You may be able to find a VMP-2 in that price range, which is a pretty darn nice stereo tube mic pre (considering the price). I have one, and on my mics (TLM103 especially) I prefer the sound of the...

Re: drum loops, how do you guys without drummers do it??
