I've been using an ASIX USB 3 to Gigabit Ethernet adaptor with Waves SoundGrid which is a similar approach to Carbon.

I suspect Microsoft may be working on a native AVB driver. If so, it would...

My understanding is that the Hybrid Engine uses the native mixer with DSP only being used to reduce the latency of plug-ins on track inputs that are being monitored.

My understanding is that beyond six, additional cores buy you faster bounce/rendering speeds but not better real time performance which is what you need for virtual instruments.

All cloud systems and various non-Mac format storage will hose SD2 files. Apple officially stopped supporting them with System 8!
