The installer asks if you want to install essential loops, when you're installing protools. Think it doesnt install by default.

Thats basically what I'm running (PT ess. 8.0.3). Except I've got DDR2 and cpu is AMD x2 240, ati chipset. Care to elaborate why not? You mention another thread, link? Thank you :)

The 8.0.3 update isnt compatible with PT Essential yet.. or thats what the announcement says.

The Fasttrack must be connected when you start PT or it wont start.

What are the error messages you...
